Eco Products is a small, South African based company, which specializes in the production of organic baobab seed oil and organic baobab fruit pulp.

Sarah Venter has been working with rural communities in Venda for many years. She is currently doing her PhD on the ecology of the baobab tree.

The winner of the PhytoTrade Africa Best in Show Award, for the best product exhibited at the 2009 Natural & Organic Products Exhibition in Cape Town went to Sarah Venter of Eco Products who received a cash prize of R15,000 and an all-expenses-paid booth at next year's Expo, sponsored by the organisers. Venter said that the award “has meant an enormous amount to us. Working with rural communities is very different from the business world, where decisions are based on profitability. Our success is not based on how much money we make, but on how well we have managed to balance the needs of people, the environment and our financial margins. The award really recognizes our success at bringing baobab oil to the market in this environment and we are so grateful for the support”.

Eco Products Baobab Seed Oil

Eco Products organic baobab seed oil is pure, cold-pressed, unrefined baobab seed oil that has no additives. Eco Products oil is used in formulations of up-market bath oils, soap, body lotions and face moisturizers. It is a superb skin moisturizer and it absorbs quickly without leaving an oily residue. Baobab seed oil is further rich in Omega 3, 6 & 9 Fatty Acids. These fatty acids are important in the maintenance of healthy skin. Topical applications have shown to alleviate chronic dry skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Eco Products Baobab Fruit Pulp

Eco Products baobab fruit pulp is pure, 100% natural and organic. Baobab fruit has been used as food and medicinal plant, for hundreds of years in Africa. It contains high levels of Vitamin C, calcium and dietary fibers. Recent studies have shown that baobab fruit is an excellent antioxidant and has prebiotic properties. EcoProducts organic baobab fruit pulp is naturally dried in the pod before it is extracted. It is then sifted to get a finer texture and immediately sealed to maintain freshness.
